On July 31, 2023, Trinity Housing Development held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for their development in North Carolina. The Landing at Beaver Creek is a 72-unit new construction apartment community located just 65 miles south of the state capital in Fayetteville, NC. This is also home to Fort Bragg, one of the largest military installations in the world with 57,000 military personnel. Fayetteville, with a population of 209,468 people, has been experiencing a housing shortage and this development will provide a much-needed affordable apartment home community as the city continues to see growth. Attendees for this celebration included executives from Trinity Housing Development, LLC, Trinity’s development partners Central Developers, LLC and Halcon Companies, LLC, the Mayor of Fayetteville, members of Fayetteville City Council, Fayetteville city staff, the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA), and current residents of the development. Other attendees included representatives of the development team, the Architect, Ross Deckard Architects; the Engineer, Bowman Engineering; and the contractor, East Point Homes.
In Mayor Mitch Colvin’s remarks at the Ribbon Cutting, he said “The Landing at Beaver Creek represents a significant stride in our ongoing efforts to address the pressing need for affordable housing. This development provides not just roofs over heads but a haven where families can thrive, where individuals can pursue their dreams, and where our community can continue to flourish. It is an embodiment of our shared commitment to inclusivity, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves a chance to secure a safe and affordable place to live.”
A special thanks to the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency for a 9 percent low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) award and the City of Fayetteville who supported the development with a loan from federal funds allocated to the City through the Home Investment Partnerships program. Trinity Housing Development broke ground for The Landing at Beaver Creek in 2021 as an answer to the scarcity of residences available in the area. The property is comprised of three (3) buildings, which are three-story, garden-style apartments. The unit mix is (12) one-bedroom units, (36) two-bedroom units, and (24) three-bedroom units. Each of the units feature a walk-in closet in the master bedroom, washer and dryer hook-ups, and a kitchen with ample cabinet and counter space along with Energy Star appliances. First floor units have a patio off the living room area and the second and third floor units feature a balcony. Outdoor amenities include a covered picnic pavilion with grill area, a playground and a tot lot.
