On August 28, we had the privilege of celebrating the grand opening and ribbon cutting of The Villas at Elmsley Crossing in Greensboro, NC.
This 52-unit affordable senior community represents years of planning, partnership, and hard work—and we couldn’t be more proud to see it completed and serving residents.
The Villas at Elmsley Crossing offers 26 one-bedroom and 26 two-bedroom homes for seniors, along with thoughtfully designed spaces that encourage residents to gather, connect, and enjoy their community. Amenities include a multipurpose room with kitchenette, computer area, exercise room, laundry facilities, resident storage, lounge and seating areas, large balconies, and inviting outdoor spaces with a covered porch, patio, gazebo, and seating areas.
The project was made possible through an incredible partnership that included the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, City of Greensboro, Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, RBC Community Investments, Locus Bank, The Mid-Atlantic Foundation, and First Citizens Bank, along with the many professionals and organizations who helped bring the project from concept to completion.
We were especially honored to have so many of our partners and community leaders join us for the celebration, including Rev. Timothy Fitzgerald of New Goshen UMC, Marc Isaacson of NCHFA, David Kautter of First Citizens Bank, Brian Flanagan of RBC Community Investments, Councilmember Crystal Black of the City of Greensboro, Ed Dallape of Partnership Property Management, and The Villas at Elmsley Crossing resident Therian Tyson.
Hearing from Therian about what this community means to its residents was a particularly meaningful part of the celebration. It’s a great reminder of why we do this work.
